Steven R. Max
Director of Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Division
Steve Max is the Director of DSTs newly formed Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Division. The Divisions focus includes support to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA); Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) support to Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), and International Customers; and support to the Joint Interoperability Test Commands (JITC) Multi-Function Lab which includes a Distributed Test Node, Data Engineering Node, and eXtensible Markup Language (XML) Lab facility at Fort Huachuca, AZ.
After graduating from West Virginia University with a BS in Geology/Russian, Steve served as a Military Intelligence Officer in the US Army. His tours included the 2nd Infantry Division in the Republic of Korea, the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, Desert Shield/Storm and Ft. Hood, TX.
Steve joined the DST team in September 2005, bringing over 18 years of experience in a broad spectrum of areas to include: ISR operations and systems; joint interoperability; information technology; leadership, management and team building; resource management; DoD acquisition; training; and combat development.
