As a preferred IT Solutions provider, DST specializes in providing qualities products and services in the areas of systems engineering, web hosting and application development, network infrastructure modernization, and information assurance. A detailed description of each area follows.
Web Hosting and Application Development: DST provides web hosting services, performs need assessments and web design, software development and testing, database design and administration, data warehousing, legacy system migration and deployment of mission critical applications. Also, DST operates and maintains fielded applications and implement software upgrades.
Network Infrastructure Modernization: DST provides technical assistance to maintain and operate enterprise wide Help Desk operations. Help Desk functions include but not be limited to answering, logging, and responding to help desk calls, maintaining hardware and application software, and LAN/WAN profiles and configurations, documenting trouble tickets, maintaining and improving automated help desk infrastructure, and conducting client satisfaction surveys. Additionally DST support functions include protection of computer systems and networks by installing, modifying and repairing computer hardware, software and peripherals.
Additionally, DST provides technical assistance in the planning, implementation and conduct of clients’ Configuration Management (CM) Program. This includes controlling the LAN/WAN workstation, server, and enterprise level configurations as well as changes to the NOC hardware, software, and communications baselines.
Information Assurance: DST monitors DoD and other Federal systems network security requirements, recommend and, and at the direction of the client, implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with requirements. Also, DST provides day-to-day system administration support servers, routers, intrusion detection system (IDS) and other hardware and software components. This includes development and maintenance of documentation and procedures required for DITSCAP and/or DIACAP certification and accreditation.
